Wedge wire filter elements are made from shaped wires referred to as profiles and other shaped wires referred to as support rods.
The surface profile wires are accurately spaced and welded to the support rods.The welding is done by automatic resistance welding.

5. Supporting grids
Johnson screen support grid is composed of support beams(T shape or I shape),support grids and Johnson screen.The two ends of the support beams are placed on the support of the internal reactor shell.Johnson Screens are rested on or welded to the support grids which are rested on the support beams and support ring.
Supporting grids are used in filters,ion ex-changers and reactors.They are designed for greatest bearing loads with the smallest slots.
